I realize this article is for CY2018, but I found it interesting. Manual Transmission
"take rates" for 2018
90% Subaru WRX (STI version is only available with a manual.) ~25,000
78% Subaru BRZs ~ 2,500
33% Toyota 86,
76% Mazda Miata
8% Subaru Impreza ~ 6,000
6% Subaru Crosstrek ~ 8,500
3% Subaru Forester ~5,000 (Forester has dropped the manual transmission as of 2019.)
Subaru told us it sold over 47,000 manual-equipped cars.
That's roughly 2,000 more than Honda sold in the same year.
What I found particularly interesting was the discrepancy between Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86. I guess Toyota buyers have more posers than Subaru buyers.
I wonder what percentage of WRX owners are male?
I'm guessing a lot, but kudos to female
