Djokovic spanked Carlos Alcaraz yesterday for his 98th career title. Comparatively, he seems to have fewer "weaknesses" on his resume than any male athlete.

-Jordan gets knocked for playing weaker competition in the Finals than Lebron who lost to the KD/Golden State Warriors twice. Gretzky dominated the NHL, but he did it for few years with no Mario Lemieux clipping at his heels. Djokovic has dominated the ATP Tour with two of the other Top 3 players in history in his era--Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. He has winning records against both.

-Owns pretty much every meaningful record in the sport now.

-Longevity. He's not only hanging in there with the new school. He's owning them. 400+ weeks at No. 1 and counting.

Who really has a better argument at this point?

Few athletes have deposed a GOAT to become the GOAT.

He’s likely the greatest tennis player to ever play the game.

It’s difficult to compare with other sports, not least as there are team and individual sports.
Djokovic is definitely now the best tennis player of all time, under all metrics.
Nadal is the best ever at one event, his 112-3 record and 14 titles at the French Open just obliterates anything or anyone in any sport. (and I am a Djokovic fan)
Is Djokovic though better than Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Muhammad Ali, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Lionel Messi etc?
We can debate that over a beer at the bar for hours , because it’s so intriguing and no clear cut answer.
