Are there any good resturants to eat good sea food? In particular, the following seafoods:
1. catfish
2.turtle ( not even sure if it is legal anymore )

The type of turtle most often found on southern coastlines -Loggerhead Sea Turtle - is an endangered species and illegal to catch. Based on info about turtle soup on Wikipedia, it doesn't appear to be a seafood or native dish for the areas you are presently traveling.

The most common varieties of catfish used for food are generally farmed and/or live in freshwater and are not indigenous to the south Atlantic coast. I'm sure you can find catfish in restaurants along your route. Hopefully, someone here can give you some recommendations.

Enjoy your trip!

For years, turtle stew was a popular dish in most fish camps away from the coast. It was made with freshwater turtles, usually snapping turtles, I think. I don't recall seeing it recently on menus, but I suspect it's still around. Good stuff...

There are many good family seafood restaurants all over SC, and almost all of 'em away from the coast will serve catfish as one of their main items. Catfish is available in many places at the beach, but it plays second fiddle to saltwater fishes in this area. If you ask for recommendations for a specific location, you'll probably get more responses.
