Well
I'm a big fan of Austin, TX. But I want to know more about SC because maybe I'm going to move to SC soon. Therefore, I'm looking for several things in the city: I'm single.
Cultural places "museum, Library, theater.... "
Entertainment" theaters, malls, zoo, parks ..."
Nightlife "bars, nightclub ..."
Shopping " malls, outdoor mall, luxury shops..."
Restaurant "cafe, restaurant ..."
Safe wonderful and clean.
Sports "GYM, WALK PATH, FIELD ..." Therefore, I want to know is there any city better than AUSTIN??

There is no city in South Carolina like Austin. Do yourself a favor and either don't move or lower your standards.

I wouldn't say "lower your standards." In my opinion someone would be lowering their standards to move from Charleston to Austin. I don't think there's anything terribly impressive about Austin, not enough to offset the fact that it is far away from the coast.

Austin is certainly larger, but that doesn't equate to "better" in my book.

From my experience, anybody who moves anywhere, looking for a town just like Whatever, USA is bound to end up disappointed. Only visited Austin a couple times, but not sure I'd describe any SC city as similar. Better or worse is always in the eye of the beholder, but if you're lookin' for Austin, SC, you're probably going to be disappointed.

I hope the Columbia comparison was meant as a joke...

Amen! Totally different states/people/terrain. I have lived in both. Just look for your NEXT super sweet spot, USA.

Columbia would come the closest (state capital, large university), but the truth is that there's no city in SC that comes close to matching up with Austin, especially in terms of population and a high-tech economy. But for the things you listed, the three largest metros (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville) in SC has those (well, Charleston doesn't have a zoo), just to a lesser degree.
