Bluffton Living (school, move, relocating to)

Hi all! Our family is thinking about relocating to Bluffton, SC.

I'm a little nervous relocating anywhere near the south due to its racist history. Are there any minorities that have lived there or currently live there that can tell me first hand how they like living there and what it's like? Also, how's the school system?

Where are you currently living? All I can say is that we live in a fairly progressive time where most of the time, the people police each other on ethical standpoints in society. If you're concern resonates from the media, I would have to say take it with less than a grain of salt. IMHO, folks down in the South are more opposed to those that move down here and want to change things. Hope that helps
