Incredible. Did not expect Germany to be taken down, but Mexico was determined to score early - then put together a wall of defense to seal the W.

Mexican players had the game of their lives, and Germany put out one of their poorest performance in the recent years. In a normal day, Germany would have folded Mexico like a chair. Still, Germany looked surprisingly sluggish, uninspired for most of the game, they were rarely able to create real chances, especially when you know mexico doesn;t have in the defense their best asset.

I think this game will hurt both teams. Germany will doubt, and mexico will see themselves too good.

Maybe.

The next game was great expectations of Brazil... and not much expected from the Swiss.

Yet they tied at 1-1!

Neymar was not all that impressive, although I understand he just returned from a broken foot.

So of all the teams on that list, just one--France--came away with a victory in their first match. And I'd argue that France didn't really look like all that solid.

I think Belgium also belongs in the discussion as a legitimate contender, so I'll be curious to see what they do tomorrow in their opening match.

Like everyone else in the world, I wish I would’ve bet some money on that Mexico win

Talk about an upset no one saw coming

Prostitutes really worked their magic on Mexican players.

WELL I am glad MEXICO WON

AS I mentioned, I spent Father's Day with my wife and kids over at the Mouse's House in Orlando and missed seeing it BUT I have it recorded. In Spanish. To Watch over and over again.

Although I am not fluent in Spanish...far from it...I prefer to watch soccer on the Mexican stations like ESPN-S or Univision because the commentators are so much more animated and exciting. Those other guys on the English speaking station, especially the ones with English accents, could put a person to sleep in an espresso shop as they are so droll and listless with their dull narration of the game.

Holland over Italy in the final match. U.S. comes in third with a win over Estonia.

Switzerland is currently ranked #7 in the world and is expected to make it out of the group stage.
