You must be a shill for the Shreveport Tourist Bureau. This place is a pit, a pit of pure hell. Do not come here for any reason, it is the most regressive place there is, except for Afghanistan, and it's catching up fast.

Default Avoid It!

I lived across the river from it. They have good food but past that, it not safe, the clubs suck, and the people are rude. It's really a place I would avoid!

I can't speak for the casinos, but the Boardwalk is nice. The south side of Shreveport isn't a bad place to live, but it's also nowhere near the casinos.

Damn.....lots of Shreveport hate. I work there through the year. Sure it's got its dumpy parts, but NOLA (which so many rave about) is a mega ghetto. What a nasty place.

The guy was going to travel from Tucson to Shreveport on what sounds like a short vacation. I'd try to talk someone out of that.

So you just briefly mention the two cities in Louisiana which contribute the highest crime rates and are going to cost our state billions in EBT (Food stamps) and Medicare Fraud...

Another thing we can agree is that New Orleans proper is a real toilet. The smart folk moved to the Northshore, but we already know that.

Back to Shreveport, just look at the crime maps and there are some places outside the city that are fine. Bossier is better too.
