First visit to an IHOP in probably 3 years. No more biscuits and gravy! I was the second person to express dismay that morning. As expected, prices were quite a bit higher than I recall... but the pancakes were spot-on delicious. And a pleasant surprise... a cheery, happy, efficient server.

The only place I know to get biscuits and gravy is the Kolache Factory on Culebra outside Loop 1604. Delicious! I use the coupon for Buy 3 Get 3 Free and freeze them so I always have some in my freezer.

Wait. Does Jim's have biscuits and gravy? I seem to remember they did back in the day.......

In 40 years of being in the metro San Antonio area I was in a Jim's I think twice. Probably had B&G, tho.

The only thing I ever get at IHOP is their breakfast sampler and that's gone up way in price. I find Hardees/Carls J make good biscuits and gravy.

I would think Cracker Barrel has it, too.

Kinda shopping because it's a restaurant. The Food area looks to be about cooking.

I just thought somebody else might like to know. I was surprised.

The sampler is about 13 bucks here but it’s fairly large. Usually take the pancakes home for the next day breakfast. IHOP here is still reasonable. Restaurant meals here are outrageous something like 50 bucks for two people or more with very small portions. Anywhere nearer the beach areas a meal for two might be in the 100 dollar range.

Hmm, last time I got the sampler it came close to the $20 range. I can make the same breakfast at home for much less.

Which is why I don't go out anymore for breakfast and just cook it at home. The other morning I made eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast came to less than $5.

I'm sure more people are gonna be eating out less with how exorbitant prices are eating out.

We stick to Denny's which is much cheaper for a wider range menu. Plus the biscuits and gravy are still on the menu and under $3 for a good portion. Have no idea why IHOP thinks a simple breakfast should be over $16 plus tip.
