Schools aren’t very good. Otherwise not a horrible area.

There has been a LOT of growth in that area. Lots of new development and nice new neighborhoods. Lots of nice older areas too. Much depends on your budget and where you want to be. You can find good and bad in any town, just look around.

600s is the budget with a bed/bath on main entrance, older properties are fine however the schools are kinda low

$600K is still possible in Puyallup and urban Pierce County, but it would get more and better further out of town, or further south in Thurston County, as I answered in your other thread.

We have family that considered Puyallup and Bonney Lake, but after finding out about the mountain, they ended up in Gig Harbor. Such a volcanic event could happen 150 years from now, or tomorrow, nobody knows. It's a gamble that obviously many people are willing to take.
