I may be starting an 18 month school program that will be from 8am to noon. It is in the Northgate area of Seattle. I am looking into living in the Woodinville area b/c I really love the area, found a nice place, and a great Montessori preschool for my son. Is this too far to commute? I also looked in Bothell but can't find a place I like that is in an area with a good public school (my son will be in kinder next school year). All the Montessori schools in the Shoreline/North Seattle area have wait lists.

Thanks!

That could be a rough commute, even if you live in the little bit of Woodinville that's close to 405. I can't see how it wouldn't be a terrible commute to go north on the freeway 10 miles and then south for what, another 10 or 15 miles?

All you'd have to do is get on Rt. 522, no need to use the freeways. Commute will normally be less than 30 mins. (but of course depending on where you're coming from/going to). Do expect some rush hour traffic... I believe they're winding up on the construction if they're not done already.

I was thinking it might be somewhat doable just b/c I don't have to cross any bridges like I would if I was on the Eastside. When I mapquest it they have be on the 5 and the 405. It would be great if I could just take 522.

Yes, I prefer to take the 522 because it's less of a hassle. Plus Dick's is on the way, I like to stop by that and get some. There isn't any in the South Sound.

Home - Dick's Drive-In

Its a drive in burger place... it's not the best burger place, no... but it's still yummy and cheap! An old Seattle institution. There is one off by Lake City Way.
