Ice Skating at the Rink at UTC, University Town Center mall in Sarasota. Open Mon - Fri 4 - 10 pm, Sat & Sun 11 am - 10 pm.

A Brave New Wonderland -- holiday circus performances. The magical, immersive holiday spectacular by Nik Wallenda and Circus Arts Conservatory promises a blend of thrilling circus acts, mesmerizing aerial performances and uplifting holiday storytelling. Selby Gardens Lights in Bloom -- spectacular garden themed holiday lights, family friendly activities, food & beverage vendors. 5:30 - 9 pm, various ticket prices.

Celtic Angels Christmas -- performance at the Van Wezel, see

Sounds of the Holiday Season -- musical performances by local groups, UTC Mall, 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

Ringling Art Museum Tour -- free with museum admission fee. 2 - 2:45 pm, 3 - 3:45 pm.
SATURDAY
Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.
Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.
Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm.
Venice Farmers Market -- at the City Hall, 401 W Venice Ave, 8 am - 1 pm.
Summer Hours: 8 am - noon.
Santa Paws Holiday Pawty -- rescheduled from last week - bring your pets for pictures with Santa (vaccinated pets only), prizes, special drink menu, dog adoptions. Boo's Ice House & Dog Bar, 1314 10th St, Sarasota, 12 - 5 pm.
Christmas on Main -- games, rides, photo booths, Santa 4 - 6:45 pm, candlelight service 7 - 8 pm. Lakewood Ranch's Main Street.
Cars & Coffee -- informal classic car show 8 - 11 am, Ideal Classic Cars, 2224 Tamiami Trail S in Venice.
Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland -- performance at the Van Wezel, 7 pm, ticket info at

Christmas Pajama Party -- pajama party for you & your pets with free snacks, prizes, specials. Holistic for Pets Store, 10 am - 5 pm, 5411 Fruitville Rd in Sarasota.
Siesta Key Beach Christmas Service -- on the beach by the volleyball courts, starts 5 pm.
Winterfest & Outdoor Candlelight Service -- Winterfest 4 - 8 pm with snow hill, food trucks, music, inflatables & activities. Candlelight service at 7:15 pm. Southshore Community Church, 1899 S. Tuttle in Sarasota.
SUNDAY
Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market -- Waterside Place, 10 am - 2 pm.
The Meadows Farmers Market -- At the Meadows shopping village off Honore, 10 am - 2 pm.
Wellen Park Farmers Market -- 9 am - 1 pm.
Polo at Lakewood Ranch -- 2024 season starts Dec 31st.

The Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show -- free show, starts 2 pm, 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy by Mote
Closed for the winter, back next spring.
Sundays at the Bay -- free performance by various artists at The Oval on the Bay, 4 - 5:30 pm.
Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle -- free event, people gather about an hour before sunset.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service -- Centennial Park in Venice, 6 - 8 pm, bring lawn chairs.
CHRISTMAS DAY
Pinecraft Christmas Parade -- a Sarasota Amish & Mennonite community event, starts 1 pm, 3713 Bahia Vista St.
Christmas in the Park -- charitable event for the homeless, Martin Luther King Park, 2523 Cocoanut Ave in Sarasota, 9 - 11 am. Giving out hot lunches, new clothing/bikes/toys, etc.
CHRISTMAS DINNER options -- here are just a few of the various Sarasota area restaurants open for Christmas dinner (reservations required for most)
