I’m not a Trump fan but do you realize how ridiculous this sounds?

It's possible that Florida's natural conditions will result in fewer transmissions. Let's hope so.
Blazing above normal temps coming this weekend and next week.

Any help from sunshine is probably far offset by the number of people here who just left those giant aluminum tubes (airliners). Also, driving is a prime way to catch it (the NY patient that has spread to many did so). That is, if you are in a car with someone who has it the odds are not good.

All in all I'd say well less than 10% of the people here spend time outside in the sunshine with any regularity - and that is probably a high guess.

As most probably know, the joker who wore a Gas Mask to Congress and embarrassed our state...just had a death in his district today.

In Florida we really won't know much for about 3-4 weeks. That would give time for a lot of tests to get here, the people get tested and some results known and then disseminated. Until then we are really in the dark.

Life is pretty much normal around here - no empty shelves and people out eating, etc.

I've heard cancellations to some Spring Training Tours are up....maybe I'll be able to find some last minute good tickets. I told the wife I wouldn't worry about going if we had the decent seats (a big of room around us)...they are really open air in most stadiums.
Yes, I heard of someone who cancelled spring training events this year.

Did any of you watch the Trump speech to the nation Wednesday night about the coronavirus? Trump looked tired and stressed out. Not his normal self. He even sounded bad - his voice was monotone and wavered at times. Then after his speech the stock market futures tanked another 1,000 points in overnight trading:

The Brazillial official that visited Mar-a-Lago this past Saturday and met with Trump there, has tested positive for Coronavirus. So there is some risk to anyone that had contact with that person

Yep. And now Florida Senator Rick Scott in self-quarantine:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cli...outputType=amp

** Scott said in a statement his office was informed Thursday a member of the Brazilian Embassy who was at an event in Miami with the senator earlier this week later tested positive for COVID-19.

“On Monday, I met with the President in Miami, and while I do not believe I interacted with the infected person, that individual was in the same room as me," Scott said in an email. **

-----------------------------------------------------------------

And yet I read that thus far Trump has refused to even be tested for coronavirus.

Look's like Trump and the vice president are in big time "denial mode":

Mike Pence said 'I'm still shaking hands,' defying his office's coronavirus hygiene advice:

https://news.google.com/articles/CAI...S&ceid=US%3Aen

"I'm still shaking hands here at the White House," Pence told CNN. "I'm also washing my hands very regularly through the day."
