If you can't just leave your vehicle at home and pay for a taxi or shuttle, I'd park in a hospital parking lot that is free, then take a cab or Lyft from there.

Seems maybe round-trip uber lyft shared ride (25 minutes one way) less costly than 4 overnights of long term park?

I don’t know if it’s still the case, VTA use to offer airport long term parking on some light rail stations parking lots, mainly those on the 87/85 corridor for up to seven days. Though since the distance to the airport is far from these lots, it’s necessary to ride a light rail and a bus or a taxi/Uber/Lyft from the parking lot to the airport meaning the need toplan extra time before the flight.

Some hotels and independent parking operators also offers park and stay or just parking packages cheaper than the airports parking rate some even offers secured covered parking and even car wash services.

There is also parking on Benton and nearby streets in Santa Clara west of the airport and on Archer and Kerley dr on the eastern San Jose side. If you arrive early enough to see if you can find a space. Both sides are served by VTA free airport bus 10. Though trust your instincts to make sure its safe to do so, as it can vary based on the car you drive, and be sure to read the signs/curb markings of the restrictions in the area and the weekly street sweeping schedule of that block to avoid coming back to a ticket on the windshield.
