I happen to think one of the prettiest parts of San Jose is the northern tech quarter.. all the streets are lined with huge trees, there are winding sidewalks everywhere, and it's just a lovely place. I've considered living in the River Oaks complex just so I could walk down Plumeria and Junction to work every day.

Are you kidding? That's the least aesthetically pleasing part. It might as well be anywhere.

It doesn't seem like much when you're driving through.. you have to walk it or work in the area to appreciate it. I look out my window and the street is lined with 150 foot redwoods.

The pictures are making me miss home! I love taking drives through the diablo range overlooking the city getting sweeping views all the way to the bay waters. It really is a beautiful city.

Some shots I took back in March 2010. Nothing special compared to some of the pictures here, but I had to go visit schools and was on a schedule so I took them on the run.

Default Thank you for these!!!

We might be moving soon to San Jose. I don't really remember it from the few times we passed through on our way to visit friends in San Francisco, so I tried to look up some pictures. Everything I found made it look like a boring, sterile, whitewashed city PLUS everyone was talking about how much it sucked. Your pictures make it look like a gorgeous city that I'd be happy to live in. Thanks again for making me not so apprehensive about our potential move.
