That's a somewhat recent change.

Agree Tikka. Why does a person's race matter Ceece and what difference does it make if there's a demographic change? Is there something about Asians living in a neighborhood you believe will fundamentally change it?

So what? Race is nothing more than a social construct, why you are so obsessed with it is curious.

I don’t understand why everyone gets so upset about race discussions. Op,never implied anything negative towards Asians. I’m Asian and wasn’t offended in the least.
A lot of people just look for a fight or a reason to be offended.

Asking why it's relevant is not looking for a fight Dodge. Why does it matter? If someone can afford to buy somewhere, it shouldn't matter what color of the rainbow they are. I agree with 2sleepy, the poster seems obsessed with it and never explains why. So there's a demographic change. Who cares? My wife happens to be Chinese and she made the same comment when she read the title.

I have no argument about who can afford it, I’m just not seeing why people are upset about the topic.
The op has a post about Bay Area cities aging. It’s interesting to me like this thread. I hope no one is going to say the op hates kids or old people.

The OP has stated that he believes we should create racially based enclaves. I don't think isolating people based on their native language, their place of birth or their skin color is ever a good idea. The OP throws out 'ideas' like how wonderful enclaves would be, but seems to dodge a discussion on the ugly details, like what about a mixed couple like my son and his Chinese fiancé? Would they have to live in separate enclaves?

I can't believe that discussing how wonderful enclaves would be and how they would save California is just the basis for an innocent conversation, I think the OP might be trying to gauge the response of people here to the ideas of the Russian troll Marinelli and Robert Stack. I'm not entirely sure why, maybe he is just curious...I'm not in a position to judge.
