Grand opening on the 23rd. Looks pretty expensive, though.

They are hiring too.

I'm fine with expensive, as long as it's quality.... And this looks great.

San Antonio needs to stop letting people's lack of money get in the way of development.

There are people here with disposable income. The Pearl was a smart location.

Looks like a Erewhon wannabe type of business. If you build it, they will come......(at least that is what they are hoping for)

Is there even a market for anything like that in San Antonio? People here seem to be so content with the endless sea of mediocre franchises that keep popping up. Another Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, Whataburger...they eat it all up, literally and figuratively.

No, this is unique to SA. I hope it does well, because they spent a mint on it.

But yes, the people who don't frequent the pearl can still satiate themselves on fast food and plastic chain eateries. This isn't a thing meant for them.

The dichotomy of this city is insane.

I only know that anything fancy, great quality or imported has very short life here. Remember when CM first opened and had a big selection of European food. That disappeared quite fast. When I asked why, I was told that it didn't sell well....
Let's see how fast things will change there.

Went this evening. Very popular, with people curious as to the layout, design and offerings.

At least 5 sit-down eateries, several bars, a grocery, butcher, bakery, etc.

They'll figure out what sells and what doesn't, but something tells me that this is no central market: They're not catering to the customer who will complain about pricing. They know exactly what they are and that area has more than enough people and money to keep it afloat.

It also helps that they have very deep pockets behind it, including Kit Goldsbury.

A choice other than HEB is a welcome one. The design alone of the space will get me there to shop.

Linda (Pace), to me, was the more interesting of the two.

She was massively charitable. Huge heart. And even decades after her untimely death, her contributions are still helping others.

Another glowing review from a friend who lives at Southline. They love the market and the food options.
