Some of the best wings I have ever had were from this place on Potranco several miles outside 1604. I would order them once a week but I stopped for a while, like several weeks because we were cooking more at home. Anyway, I have been calling for a week and no answer. I drove by and they were gone. There were a couple of drunken people in their cleaning the place up. They told me it closed down but didn’t mention them moving somewhere else. Anyone ever try this place out?

SA Greed..I'm not familiar with this place..was it before Grosenbacher in that section of Potranco where most of the little restaurants and Family Dollar are before the old Cool Crest neighborhood?

Maybe it's closed b/c someone bought the property and will eventually build a retail center?

No, further. It was in the Tejas Valley RV Park. I had asked the owner that if she ever closed, for her to give me the recipe for her sauce. Never got the chance. I doubt she will even while closed.

Hmm..well, I seem to remember that restaurant in Tejas Valley RV Park being other things in the past...I believe I went with my parents there years ago when it was a mexican restaurant too. It's had a few reincarnations so who knows what its next life will be but I doubt it will remain shuttered with all the new development/housing springing up all around. If the owners there at Tejas ran the place or knew the last owner, maybe they can get the recipe for you.

It's the story of my life. I remember liking the Kroger ramen brand. (i know it's cheap) It tasted different and way better than the one that every other place sells. Although that may be just in my head.

Thanks for the advice, I may just do that.

Well, since the Krogers have all closed years ago in SA, I've been lucky enough to still have them here in the DFW area. I'm headed back home in SA around Christmas for a while...do you need a few Kroger ramens that I can stick in your mailbox?! It sounds like you're just down Potranco from my folks...seriously, let me know and I can leave them on or in your mailbox..no trouble. PM me if you want..

They have a Kroger in San Marcus if I am not mistaken. It's no big deal and besides, it's just soup. not wings. I think I will try this new "Buffalo Wild Wings that is down the road. People have been raving about it here at work. It seems that alot of people on this board are in the same area. My wife and I were discussing how SA has gotten so big that the areas have a little town feeling for each of them. I just don't know what our area would be named.

As long as that area isn't named something unoriginal like the Northside ISD uses...Potranco West...that seems to be their moniker when describing a future school being planned. I do know that a lot of that empty land just to the north of Westcreek and south of Alamo Ranch is called West Pointe (East and West) but not sure if that really would be a good inclusive name. I agree about how large the area has grown...my parents have been out there since 1972 when I was a little boy so I remember many changes!!

Speaking of Wings, is there a WingStop in SA? They're all over the place up here and boy are they good!

Yes there are but I am not much of a fan. I was curious what that area was. It is across the loop of Sea World and there is a road that leads all the way in. My wife wants to drive through there but we are never in our truck when we do. She thought it would be a nice place to bike ride but I have seen some pretty big wild animals in our area so i don't know if it is or not. What is going to be built there?
