I'm thinking of celebrating my wife's graduation (doctoral program) with a clambake to coincide with a vacation we have planned for Narragansett in late June/early July. I've done some preliminary googling and found a bunch of different companies, but I was hoping somebody on here can recommend from personal experience a good clambake company that will come to our house and set everything up for us. Can anyone recommend a good caterer for this?

Yawgoo Bakes.

I drive past there all the time. I think it's located in So. Kingstown. It's located where No. Kingstown, Exeter, and So. Kingstown intersect. I'm sure they must advertise in the phonebook or have a website.

Thanks Ritarff, I did check them out. Turns out they have a minimum of 50 people, and we have a much smaller group than that.

I did some more checking around and found a place called B&M Catering out of Pawtucket, and they're much more reasonable on the numbers as well as the pricing, so that's who we're going to go with.

I just went to wedding last Saturday (6/22/13) in Jamestown. The reception was an authentic clambake catered by McGrath's which was fantastic! They called everyone to the site to "unveil" the clambake which consisted of:
Steamers
Mussels
Lobsters (whole 1-1/4 lb)
Chicken
Chourico
Red bliss potatoes
Chowder
Strawberry shortcake

I'd recommend Francis Farm, just off 195 over the line in Rehoboth. I went to a retirement party there last summer, and the clambkae was top notch. Minimum is 30 people. Click on the link, and go to 2013 menu options.

I just wanted to let everyone know I went with B&M Catering and we were very happy with everything. We had so much food we were eating leftover seafood for days, and the food was terrific and relatively inexpensive.

Default Narraganset Clambake

Any suggestions for an affordable venue for a 20 person clambake in Narraganset, Jamestown or Newport?
