Ha, clevergirl, off topic but something you said struck a chord. Until I was in third grade, we lived in a complex of small starter home townhouses that just termed with kids. You’d run outside and there would be kids exploring the next door park, roller skating, jump ropes, groups playing tag or dodgeball, kids drawing with chalk. It was heaven for a kid. Dad got a good job offer 100 miles away and we moved to a large single family home in a neighborhood with homes that were on large lots. My brothers and I were devastated. We had no idea that there was such a different way to live and we didn’t like it one bit!

I hate living alone but have done so most of my life.

I'd rather be lonely than sorry. I wish I could get the 8 prime years back when I was with my ex. I should have said "no" and it's probably the biggest regret I have...
Perhaps if it was with someone else it may have worked out. I blame my life long low self-esteem issue which started with a crappy childhood that included violence, religion, and unloving hostile parents, especially regarding my father.

I'd actually like to find a group house (with my own space) with like-minded people but I'm finding that an impossible task.

I guess I'm part of that "gray divorce" but it really should have ended sooner than it did...
