I'll get beat up for this but I don't care, it's just my opinion. I find few things less attractive in this world than an old pot head. The smell alone is totally repulsive.
Frank Sinatra said to someone who never drank, “when you get up in the morning that’s the best you’re going to feel all day”.
My choice of product is a 5 mg pill. No vaping or smoke for me and I know exactly how much I’m consuming. Takes about a half hour to kick in vs other methods. My forty years of abstinence allowed the industry to come up with better and more innovated products.
If you have to choose a recreational drug, pot/THC is far safer than alcohol. I have seen so many people and lives destroyed by drinking. Not to mention the non nutritional calories from alcohol, at an age when everyone is struggling to maintain their weight.
With that being said some people do not react well to THC and should probably never use it.
Dumbest idea I ever heard of.
But I feel that way about smoking anything, at any age. Just dumb.
Hell, no wonder the OP is "free" from "family restrictions".
(But it made me feeeeeeeel gooooood!)
That is why so many people opt for edibles...like gummies. I know a lot of 50+'ers using "medical pot" in FLA, & I'd say 1/2 smoke, 1/2 use edibles.
Good grief. It’s legal recreationally in half the states and the rest have some sort of medical marijuana program. If weed bothers you, wait until the Shroomer Boomers start talking up psilocybin.
It’s a plant. And it makes some people feel better. That is all.
It is not legal in any US state per federal law. Last week I just did my 5th drug test this year in "legal states" and I guarantee you that if I tested positive for THC I would not have been allowed in the building to work.
Having said that, now that you are free from restrictions, do whatever you want in moderation.
I hate recreational drugs with a passion. I wish they didn't exist. Drugs are a scourge on this nation, and the basis for half of our critical problems, from violent crime to homelessness to mental illness to poverty.
Legalized pot was going to energize and fund California, but the Mexican cartels are more active and more brutal than ever before in California.
I hate recreational drugs. If I had a magic wand, they wouldn't exist. It is a sin that so many drug users/abusers can't find a safe and harmless means of temporary escape from life without resorting to damaging drugs. A pox on them. I hate them pasisonately.
Some people say it is for medicinal value, as if there isn't a legal, prescribed medicine available to you. I know Millenials who take pot "medicinally". They begin every couple of weeks or as needed, and end up "needing" it every single day. Just bloody wonderful.
