I don't pay for regular cleaning... I've just learned to live with the filth (when you have an ailing, elderly pet, you don't have much choice). I figure when I finally move out and put it on the market, I'll pay a little extra for a one-time deep clean, and all will be good.

120 for 3 hours. Not sure what she charges for a full day. My supplies. It would not matter how big or clean the house is. I know some clients use her 2xs per week and some every other week. I also provide face masks and gloves and Coffee and sometimes lunch. I used to drive her to her next job but stopped with covid. I don’t pay vacation or missed weeks.
I think she is being greedy as well. She was lucky to continue to get paid while not working for you. I would dump her, but that's me. Might just tell her you can't meet her expectations for a raise at this time.

I'm in your camp on this. I can't even imagine someone asking for a raise when they were fully paid for 5-6 months not to come to work. The OP has been extremely generous already.
We have a disabled relative who lives in a 850 SF apartment. When we requested bids for a weekly cleaning service, the lowest was $85 and the highest was $180. The price of bananas has gone up...

I tend to agree due to circumstances.
I would be skeptical of an immediate raise, as this service may be checking your 'breaking point' (High high can I go).
I would have a conversation and negotiate an amiable and sustainable solution.
Likely a raise (if needed / justified) about Jan 2021 (should service choose to fulfill 2020 obligation at a reasonable rate). If you are paying far under market rates... reduce workload for next 2 months.
My long-standing housekeepers charged $30/hr and cleaned my 2BR/1BA 1800 Sq ft house in ~3 hours, but unfortunately (for me) they closed their business a few months ago due to the pandemic, as have many others here. It took me 4 months to find a new person, she charges $35/hr and takes 5-6 hours to do an inferior job. She insists on using her own ancient vacuum which doesn't get anything clean. This is far from ideal, but I can't do my own cleaning, and she's the best option I could find.
OP, I don't think your person merits a raise, but I wouldn't refuse or let her go unless you've got someone else lined up.

I have an elderly dog-he is almost 15- so I understand. I am seriously glad I opted to not get new carpet 2 years ago!
I will wait until the inevitable happens and then do a complete overhaul of the house.
I would bill your house cleaner for having the audacity to ask you for a raise when you voluntarily paid her for doing nothing for months. The sheer gall!
I have a tiny cottage. I pay someone $25 per hour to clean whatever I want cleaned (usually bathroom, general floors, and porch). I live in coastal California.
You people are paying so much!
