That's interesting to know, Chris. Thank you.

It’s not too bad but my little yorkie’s hate it. LOL

If rugs haven't been vacuumed in a long time, there is cat hair too.

Would a Roomba be able to handle it or would it have to be vacuumed with a regular vacuum before using the Roomba for upkeep?

I can leave my house and tell her to do her stuff from anywhere. If I want to find out where she is when I’m home, I hit the “find Rosie icon” and she beeps back at me.

She’s super easy to clean and take care of too. You can schedule her to clean at certain times of the day so it’s a set it and forget it until her bin gets full and needs emptied. Mine is a newer model and one of the more expensive ones so I have some cool features. I LOVE that she cleans under the beds, tables, etc. too
Something I forgot to mention, if you have an alarm system with a motion sensor, be sure to set it at “stay” before you leave the house when your Roomba is working, Rosie set my alarm off when we went to the theater (our phones were turned off for the performance).

Needless to say, the alarm company couldn’t reach us so the police were at our house when we got home.

No, Roomba can handle it.

The only thing about hair of any type is that it gets wrapped around the rollers and you'll have to clean Roomba more frequently. But conventional vacuums have that same problem with human hair.

This discussion reminds me of when we used to all call all photocopy machines "Xerox Machines".

Fluffy, thank you for that information.

I mistakenly purchased a Sharp vacuum cleaner because I had heard good things about it. But it's brutal on my arm/hand, not the young thing I once was.

I was an "early adopter". Unfortunately, my house doesn't have enough long stretches to really capitalize on the Roomba. It was constantly getting caught on corners etc.
