Mistakes? I'd have to take both shoes off to count them!

Fortunately I was born with a very strong constitution, and a true zeal for work. I was able to paper over a lot of the mistakes with my energy and business sense.

But I still know I made them. However, I don't dwell on it. Too many more mistakes to make, yet!

I should never have purchased a lottery ticket. After thousands of dollars spent I have never put one dollar in my pocket.

I wish I had worked harder in kindergarten so I could have gotten in a better college, so I could be President.

Mine was getting married at 19 to a man I did not love. If I were given a chance to do it over, I would not have married that guy but would have gone to college to become a history teacher instead.

Anyone care to share?
I would have put more effort into college.

I at retirement would have immediate joined a fitness center to take up slack in physical exercise. Only think I can think of; really.

Even the most seemingly insignificant choice made different early in my past might have charted a totally different outcome to my life at the time I am writing this, so I cannot imagine what I would change if I had the chance to. Things can always be better but they can always be worse, too. I think it is called the butterfly effect.

However, in general terms, I wish that I had strived harder to avoid any kind of debt, other than purchasing a house now and then, but even at that, I wished I had kept the houses to the bare minimum that I/we needed at the time or foreseeable future. At one time when I was single and had a company vehicle with paid gas and paid insurance(all I had to pay was a small amount for personal use), I had no debts and didn't even have to deal with insurance companies. Imagine having no debts and not having to pay for car insurance!

I would have changed my education and location and gotten an MA in art history, mixed with the upper classes and found myself a couple of really rich sugar daddies. Then I wouldn't have had to work so hard in life. Why didn't someone tell me how that worked !

You should have invested in Tandy Leather ... that would have made you rich when the personal computer was launched in 1977.

If I could change one thing, it would be that when I was parenting a young boy and going to school to re-train for the workforce, I would have found a way to make time for friends. I didn't.
