I'm wondering about the widespread moralistic attitude of Christians.
My understanding is that the most important moral lesson from Jesus is self criticism and reflection on my own sins.
I'm not sure why there is so much moral accusations of other people's behavior
instead of understanding and compassion.

That's why I'm catholic becuse I get to be christian without worrying about getting judged by others including my priest. God is the only one who can judge you my friends and that is a good thing. These fake's we have nowadays forget this fundamental teaching. This would not be the case where I a evangelical or jehova's witness or especially a pentacostal (in my opinion the most judgemental of all christians) no offense to any pentacostal's who may be reading this.

Yeah, it never made sense to me. Perhaps those judgmental people *think* they are perfect and therefore qualilfied to make judgments against others? It seems delusional to me, but perhaps a psychologist or psychiatrist would be more qualified to make that assessment. Or it could just a matter of hypocrisy.

Disclaimer: I am only refering to moral judgment. I am not talking about judging the quality of one's work, whether or not someone broke the law, or other situations where there are people trained and qualified to make those types of judgments.
