Just curious what you think about Scientology as a religion. Not what they believe but how it came about. L. Ron Hubbard was a popular science fiction writer, turned self help guru. Then all of a sudden he's the founder of a religion whose "doctrine" (for lack of a better word) was written as a self help guide. So what do you think? Have any other religions started this way?

This is the most unique beginning for a religion I've ever heard of. Apparently L. Ron Hubbard made a comment when he was younger "If you really want to get rich all you have to do is invent a religion" or words to that effect and that's exactly what he did. I see it as a cult and I understand they can get pretty tough on people who oppose them. I don't know how some of these actors like John Travolta get mixed up in something like this. It just seems like a ridiculous sham.

It's actually not that much crazier than the big 3, if you really think about it.

Think about it!
