I didn't see it in any of the previous posts or topics but I'd like to ask both believers and non-believers on their opinion of "The Da Vinci Code" and/or "Angels and Demons"? I know that they were both highly controversial books, but I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. After all, it was and still is in the fiction aisle at my local bookstore.

I loved both...great reading! Of course I also love the Harry Potter series so I'm probably not the one to ask.

I didn't read the book The Da Vinci Code but I've watched a couple of interesting documentaries on the subject. Everyone who is knowledgeable about Christian historical events, both religious and secular, say that the story is wildly exaggerated to say the least. It's pretty inventive though and the story managed to tie a whole lot of historical events that may be legitimate on their own into a complicated web that conspiracy theory people just love. I'm going to have to watch the movie when it comes on HBO. I just see it as entertainment myself.
