From my meager understanding, the Hindu's belief is that there is only ONE god: Brahma. Those you've mentioned (I've read) are each avatars of Brahma, to serve different purposes for Brahma. Of course, I am only a new student to the teachings, so I could be wrong.
My favorites are Shiva, and Kali -- the Infinite, and the Natural.

There are tales in Hinduism where a rishi meditates under a tree and is about to attain enlightenment which the Asuras take the form of sexy vamps and distract them with revealing clothes and a diva dance, as they meditate.
Even the devas resort to this tactic, to test the penance and meditation of the rishis. Tony will fail this test, hands down.
Now, the picture on the Urvashi page is giving me a heart attack.

Thanks for asking.
No. Brahma is part of the 3 trinity. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva.
Brahma is considered the most important because he is known as the Creator. Vishnu is the preserver and Shiva is the destroyer.
The others that you have read about (Krishna, Rama) are avatars of Vishnu.

Shiva is the most entertaining. He smokes hashish, is on his second wife, and wanders around Gokarna Forest stoned and delirious. What's not to like? He is a great example of what a true God isn't.
