FRANKFORT, Ky. – A group of atheists filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking to remove part of a state anti-terrorism law that requires Kentucky's Office of Homeland Security to acknowledge it can't keep the state safe without God's help.

American Atheists Inc. sued in state court over a 2002 law that stresses God's role in Kentucky's homeland security alongside the military, police agencies and health departments.

I don't think it matters one way or the other. I don't like the convergence of church and state in this matter and by that it should be taken out but as far as whether or not it really affects Homeland Security??? I'm sure the terrorists are just waiting to find the results of this lawsuit so they can divert their plans of blowing up New York City Subways and setting off dirty bombs in Chicago in order to plot an effective attack against the Louisville Slugger factory.

Hey don't knock around Kentucky, man.. There's more here than horses and baseball bats.

That said, the law actually requires that the whole "We can't watch our country without God" concept actually be preached during classes, included in the literature, and it actually says to urge "prayer and fasting". It's a little more in depth than just putting up a cross at the Army Depot.
