I just saw an episode of American Dad(not as goo as family guy IMO) which I thought was pretty funny, It hit the issue of Atheo-Xian relationships and a god who loves irony.
Basically *spoiler*
Stan finds out he has no friends and prays to god for a friend, god sends him a friend called Brett who is just like him and they have fun until he finds out that he is an atheist.

Stan, hoping that both of them go to heaven, tries to convert Brett by showing him, amongst other things, the carcass of a rotting whale. when that doesn't work Stan reasons that since people turn into god in times of need, he should make his life a living hell. He ends up putting Brett into a coma and Stan prays to god again to help him, Stan promises that he will accept Brett for who he is no matter what. When Brett stands up he turns out to be a believer. You see he had an OBE where he went to heaven, met god and was sent to hell, there he met Satan and became a satanist.
