The knowledge claim is that of agnosticism (originally, that god inherently isn't knowable because he exists in an un-examinable spiritual realm; more popularly of late, one can't know or isn't sure). The belief claim (I don't have a good reason to believe in god's existence) lies with atheism. Hence, "I don't know, but probably not, so I don't believe".

No. I was talking about the saints.

For me personally, meditation gives me some sort of peace. This peace, I think, comes from God. For me this is a response too. Not a loud voice but a response. But this is just my experience. For others it is prayer that brings them peace. I use it too sometimes.
