So, anyway, back to the topic. I used the search function for the thread to see if anyone mentioned the Shroud of Turin as evidence of Jesus' existence.
I personally do believe it to be the burial cloth of Jesus.
Sadly, so many lies about it being a fraud has been circulated, but the reality is that those experts who tested it were given a corner of the cloth that had been repaired and was not original. Those lies have been debunked by other analysts.
No, the hidden patch lie has been repeated over and over, but there is no evidence for this, and plenty of evidence against it. The back cloth tested by Rogers theory also does not hold, something a honest person would know if they actually read and understood his paper.
In fact, when you look at all the evidence, it is the Shroudies who either lie, or believe the lies because they do not check what they are being told.
Whereas the RC dating has not been debunked.

The question: "Did Jesus exist" is not a valid question, as it has been definitively solved and answered in the affirmative. Of course Jesus existed, and to suggest otherwise is absurd. No serious person, Christian or otherwise, for 2,000 years has ever questioned the existence of Jesus. It has always been the case that only the desperate lunatic fringe has made this wild suggestion.
The more serious and relevant question is: "Who was/is Jesus, and why should I care?"
The ones that go to great length cite articles of paganism tryong to show Christianity is a rip off of pagan Gods and their rituals, and unforuntaley most Christians affirm this idea because Christmas and Easter have pagan origins and there is so many common links between ancient paganism and Christianity that claiming Jesus never lived is not as far fetched as a Christian might assume.
Having said that, authors like the book," The Jesus Mysteries," does in fact present a pretty good case by displaying all the common links between Christianity and Baal, Zues, Zoraster, Ra, Tammuz and others.
To an uneducated eyes the two authors of that book present a good case but not to somebody who has studied paganism.
The big obvious problem the Jesus Mysteries present is that they searched and searched every known pagan myth linking Jesus to pagan Gods, they might fool the majority, but their searches are so extensive through so many sources that the ommission of the book," The Two Babylons," was not used, but much more than that, they are plainly, and obviously ommitting Hyslop altogether when in fact, they could have used a wealth of information they chose not to use because it was in the two Babylons and they damn well knew it. They knew Hyslop had proved them wrong from jumpstreet before they ever wrote the first word.
John says the Jesus-thing was crucified on a Friday. Matthew, Mark, and Luke say it was Thursday. How can we trust what John says is true? If John is right, then how can we trust the other three gospel "writers"?
Since, apparently, even Jesus isn't sure when he was crucified, how can we trust him?
Give the scriptures you want to talk about and I will explain them to you.
