Catholic Priest Dies for 48 Minutes, Comes Back to Life and Claims God Is Female

Yes, it is true one cannot make this kind of stuff up. Apparently the local archbishop is in a tither because this priest wants to now preach his new reality. The Archbishop's claims that no one questions that God is male.

Actually, there's a growing number of people who question the mythology of any God.

They are called atheists. They are also known that's humanists, realists, and secularists. They are growing significantly in Europe, North and South America and in Oceania.

Well, in my past life I was a fish. Couldn't you tell as I bought this hook line and sinker.

I'm usually much more careful than that, and as it came from what seemed to be a legitimate rather than satirical site, I got caught. So apparently did CBS News.

Moderators, this thread should die a quick death now. And no, it should not come back and haunt us.

People can say whatever they want in these regards. Historically people "talked to god" all the time, it was their way of pushing through changes and new rules so they could get their way on a subject.

Bible was writtne with specific rule? Well maybe it wasn't appropriate or working in the modern day, so someone will just "talk to god" and we'll get it changed.

Doesn't really work that way anymore, people would dismiss the person who "talked to god", but that's how it worked in the past when people were more believing in religion and it had more absolute power over people and governments/nations than today where it's still strong, but more of a powerful...."hobby" for a lack of a better word.

Actually, one CAN make this stuff up, and in this case one did: This story is fake, and a hoax, with its origins in the "fake news" site "World News Daily Report", which is about as factual as (although less clever than) the satirical site "The Onion". There is no "Father O'neal" (the bad spelling of the name should have been a clue....) in the Archdiocese of Boston, and Cardinal O'Malley made no such statement. Here is more about how this is a hoax that went viral:

Anatomy Of A Fake, Viral Story: The Priest Who Met A Female God In His Near-Death Experience - Digg

And here we have a site that previously reported the story walking it back with an update/correction when they realized they'd been had:
No, a priest didn't meet a female God after he died for 48 minutes | Metro News

The thing is we hear these kinds of NDE claims all the time so it's not surprising that many people assumed it was a real NDE claim.

Confirmation bias in all it's extreme form from all deconstructive perspectives. I'm sorry, God is a man; it's not so bad to be a woman learn self-acceptance.
