You both believe in the God of the Bible but you both have very different views.

So who is correct? And how would you know if you were correct?

I am my fathers son, and in the spirit in him that inspired his behavior, and his father's behavior and his father's behavior, inspires mine.We all are creative and invent and improve processes and create machinery. In public I cary the same authority as my dad, particularly because what I did is under my dad's instruction.
In the same vain.

Jesus said, God is Spirit, that they that worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in truth, and those are the ones He looks for.
When Jesus healed the 10 leapers and only 2 came back, Jesus said why have only 2 come back to thank God?
When Thomas saw the scars and spear hole in Jesus for himself, then he declared" My Lord and my God."
When Jesus was being baptized God spoke and said, "this is my son."
John 5; 20,-27,
The Jews understood exactly what Jesus said , because Jesus was making him self known to be equal with God ,this is what the Jews resented. John 5;18,
The proof of Jesus, and God and the Holy spirit, is in the Holy spirit that teaches one the same things Jesus taught and guides the obedient in God's will .
One is not dependent on scriptures for this relationship , one is dependent on the Spirit of God for this relationship.
But to receive the Holy Spirit one must first repent of self govern, and become desperate for God's govern, asking Jesus to be Lord in their life. not a superficial title, but a real submissive relationship.
When you prove to God honestly that your serious, then the Holy Spirit may be introduced .
If the old baggage is left behind , As much as you will open the door in your life to God, the more he can instruct you .
Drifting back in to self govern, and sin, put's a hold on progress, like any relationship.
God requires faithfulness .
The Holy Spirit is not owned by any one, nor is God my servant ,rather I am His.

Oh for pete's sake . . . you don't even know WHO the most important of the Bible authors ARE with any real provenance. Placing your faith in the Bible instead of Christ and the Comforter is foolish.
