I thought this was a thought provoking article, given the vast difference in opinions.
I know for some the sky would fall, but for most I don't believe so.

I think the comments after the article show why this will never happen. The church should clean up it's mess and get back on message. The message doesn't change. You certainly don't change it to grow. As Ratzinger said before you have to prune to make something grow.

Never say never, most people I talk with are very hopeful that the change has begun with Frances, time will tell.
The ship has to be up righted before it can set sail, baggage that has accumulated over the centuries must be thrown overboard.
I remain cautiously optimistic.
