If I believed in heaven and wanted to be able to do one thing it'd be this:
I'd love to meet with all of my ancestors, from the caveman on up to my closest relatives who were there also. I'd love to sit around and talk to them and find out what kind of lives they had and share stories with them. Ah well, at least it's a nice thought.

The problem with that point of view is that the description is so detailed and even includes measurements. (just like Noah's arc, by the way) It sounds like a description of a physical location, not some vague concept.
Those are the measurements of the mothership, of course.
God is actually an alien ya know. The pillar of cloud/fire in Exodus, the strange "wheel" that Ezekiel described, and even the star of Bethlehem, all of `em were UFOs

I asked my Dad about this when I was a child. We had a family friend who was from Maine. His ideal heaven would be one with all four seasons where he could go snow skiing in the winter, see the leaves change in the Fall, the flowers burst out in the spring and get out on the lake in the summer.
I personally knew even then that all I wanted in heaven was the ocean, the beach and the sun...how could we both go to heaven and be happy??
My Dad didn't know what to tell me other then to say that Heaven would be a BIG place with something for everyone.

So you are a Scientologist? It's a load of rubbish, IMO, but I digress...and I am aware that you are kidding, in case that doesn't translate on the 'puter.

Nope I'm not a scientologist (which I agree is rubbish)
In the past I was fascinated with the "ancient astronauts" theory of aliens visiting earth in ancient times and manipulating humankind. There are some who postulate many events in the Bible and other religions' holy texts were actually accounts of interactions with extraterrestrials and/or their craft.
Heaven exists outside all time and space. It is a place where the Beatific vision will envelope us to the extent that being w/ God and feeling His ultimate Peace and Love will be paramount to anything on this earth.

Ok if you're sure....but I always thought there would be a Tikki bar and lots of margaritas there.
