Hello -

I have just got final work approvals to relocate to the Raleigh area!

My boyfriend and I are going to check it all out June17-24th. We are very excited.

We are looking to stay in a hotel that is clean, nice, but not too pricey. Also we will be looking all over raleigh, durham, etc. so we want a central location. Any ideas?

AAA gives the Homestead Northeast on Appliance Court off of Capitol three stars. It is also fairly cheap and was rennovated this yr.

Can anyone tell me if this is a nice enough place to stay ( I love clean!! ) and is the location in a good area (is there anything in walking distance)?

Thanks for any info!!

The hotels/motels near Capital are going to be cheaper but if you are going to stay there...I'd suggest you find a NEW one. Any hotel near Six Forks Road or Creedmoor should be fine. Six Forks Road and Creedmoor are considered NORTH Raleigh and tends to be a bit more pricey but worth it. The Embassy Suites in Cary is good and the Homestead Suites near Crabtree Valley Mall in North Raleigh is good too. You should be able to check them all online. Vicki

Hey Vicki,

Thanks a lot for the info. The lady on the line told me that this was a newer hotel as well. But I will try some that you mentioned too!

Also, Nascarnacy I will def look into B&B's or local inns. Anyone have suggestions?
