No more land left in Cary or RTP for large factories. Gotta build in the rural areas. Roads are still good in NC where we can still commute to the rural areas that surround the Triangle.

We dont have to grow in this manner, these rural areas are pretty far from the triangle . At least for Wolfspeed.

As of Friday’s announcement, Chatham County, so far in 2022, has already landed $9 billion in investment and 9,000 new jobs.

That’s not really up to you though. People have the right to do as they please with their land if it fits into the zoning ordinances.

If it doesn’t fit into the zoning, you have the right to attend a hearing to make your voice heard, and vote for candidates you feel would do a better job.

As far as I have heard, Chatham County is ecstatic about these announcements. At least half of NC counties would gladly trade places with Chatham.

No, what we need to accept is the overwhelming majority of people who believe that development of Chatham County is good.

That isnt the case. The overwhelming majority of Chatham County residents... whose opinions matter the most do not feel that rapid development is the way. I have friends out that way who would tear you up for a statement like that. Overwhelming majority of incoming residents and wake county residents may think it is good.. but not chatham.

The current Chatham County Board of Commissioners has not lain down on the railroad tracks to stop any of this.
