See...if you have never been to Wegmans you won't get that.....and if you have driven 3 hours to get there, well why rush through? It is not like HT where you can be in an out in fifteen mins....it is literally ginormous with many, many selections of each and every little thing you can dream of plus others you might not even think of! And there are so many in-store dining options (yes I said DINING) - you may want a break in the midst of your shopping for a glass of wine and an appetizer, or maybe a little sushi, or maybe a slice of ultimate vanilla cake.....! Oh ye of little faith, soon you will all be drinking the Wegmans Koolaid and see what us Upstate NY'ers are so excited about!!!

I've only been to Wegmans once but I lost my family and had to call them to find them.

Look forward to going here! Still haven't made it over there to Publix, though.

Nah. I have. I just don't get it, but lots of people do have their attachments to various things. I'm sure I have some, too.

I do think you could spend that long in there if you liked being in any store that long, though. Me, I have a tough time spending that long in IKEA and it is GIGANTIC.

I went to Publix hoping it would fill my need for a Wegmans but sadly it did not. I'm sure Florida people were excited to get it though.

I think anyone who knows what a Publix is, got upset when we found they are now in states other than Florida... UNLESS they live in a state once not having them....

They used to be a completely Florida Only store - until the owner died, and his family got greedy....

Mr. Jenkins wasn't dead 5 minutes and his family was already plotting what states to open in. They also decided to no longer be an only Monday thru Saturday store - as they once were... (Their hours were once 7am to 9pm Monday thru Saturday - taking Sunday to 'do the things we need to do to better serve you.'

So much for THAT idea...

Honestly, I now live in AL - and frequent Publix at every opportunity - but never on a Sunday...

I could care less about WaWa or Ikea but Wegmans that is a whole other story!!!
I personally would never drive that far to visit a grocery store much less spend 2-3 hours shopping.

I try to be in and out of any store in less than 15 minutes.

Same here. I went to one once, and was just not blown away. That said, I'm happy for those who have wanted it, and I always welcome more choices, especially those who will "up the game" of the current players. All in all it's a plus, but I too am not fully 'getting it'.
