I am a REALTOR and have many a client tell me about different on line forums. And how they were researching the Raleigh area. I am pretty internet savvy and advertise all over but this is my first time stumbling upon this site. This will be fun to see what is really going on. I have several conversations a day of people wanting to move to NC and now I can point newcomers to this forum for honest opinions of the area, the school districts. I don't like selling the area I think you either love Raleigh or you don't.
Raleigh has something for everybody. Each surrounding city and neighborhood has a different personality. My favorite areas are 5 points and Northern Wake Forest. If I did not have animals I would still be living in a small bungalow in walking distances to Lilly's pizza.
But now I like and appreciate the countryside of Northern Wake County.
I like the rolling hills that North Raleigh has, I prefer the landscape, I prefer the developements not as many zero lot lines and more trees. Traffic is much easier especially with the 540 opening. Schools have traditionally been very good in the Northern part of the county.
Figured I would chime in as a fellow Youngsville resident!
