Looking at the trends..... The Lions have yet to play in a Super Bowl, the other 3 teams have, and against each other....So A 49ers win will be a repeat.

Top seeds matching up? Maybe

Lions sneaking in ? Maybe

The 49ers are good, but had a close call against a Packer team that missed a field goal.
The Chiefs are good, but beat a good Buffaloes team that missed a field goal.

The RAVENS, my nemesis and Achilles heal for the year, showed what they are: a solid, well balanced team that can make adjustments as needed and win. Good coaching, good playing. Coach Hairball should be proud

SO I am taking the Chiefs vs NEVERMORE, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Having watched the game last weekend, the Crows just look too good. But in this NFL, Mahommes and Co Could win, but to do so they are going to have to score more points than the Ravens.

Similar story for the Lions of Detroit, Rock City. I hope the Lions win. Seeing the Lions in the Super Bowl would be great on so many levels. I don't think it will happen, but I want them to win. But to win, they are going to have to score more points than the 49ers, otherwise they will lose.
And the 49ers are just another ssolid, good team especially at home. SO I am picking

Detroit Rock City Lions at 49ERS Maniac will enjoy, even more so to think about Dak away on his disney cruise missing out on all of the festivities. And the Pro Bowl probably too. it,

And MIKE yes I will miss it, Too, BUT remember, Canadian Football starts in May and it is a blast ! We are even going in October ! SO lots of football soon enough to enjoy.

The Ravens have also, quite handily, beaten both possible opponents, should they win.

On the rare occasions where Lamar has been bottled up and been forced to throw the ball.. Either he's done excellent at it, or the defense has stepped up and Lamar has done just enough.

You just can't point to one thing and say "Do this and you should win" with the Ravens. The best that I could come up with is.. Get them down big, quickly. But.. That's no guarantee.. and with their defense.. That could be a tall order to accomplish regardless.

I'd like to see KC prevail this weekend, but they're going to have to work hard against Baltimore.

As for Lions-49ers, well, I'll stand by my Niners.

Well, they'll head to training camp in May, then we'll get some pre-season CFL games in June, then the season will start in July. It usually kicks off (heh!) on July 1.

Generally, that's how it works: the team that scores more points wins...

And for those thinking Lamar is going to choke because they look back at his old performance in the playoffs, yeah that's not going to happen. He's been coached much better this year, has matured and doesn't try to do as much himself. He's got a better O-line in front of him, more weapons at his disposal, a MUCH improved defense, and new offensive and defensive coordinators that have changed up what the team does. Took a bit in the beginning of the year to gel with all the new parts and pieces, but after that, they tended to dominate.

I noticed some resale tickets are already available. Sort of like the NFL ticket exchange/stub hub thing we sometimes use when we go to see the Succaneers once every 5 years. Should I wait until regular ticket sales start or go ahead and buy now?
