My Dear, I hope you find Peace in your search. We have a Pomeranian dog too. His name is Baci (Italian for Kiss). He's a barker......but he gets style points for being cute.

Take a look into some of the Churches which offer Rent-Subsidized Housing. I know the Methodist and Presbyterian churches are big in this effort.

The local YWCA might offer Shower Facilities.

There isn't a YMCA or YWCA located in Vero Beach.

I must admit, I am not familiar with the available resources since I haven't established a church home in Vero Beach. Housing is difficult to find in Vero Beach and is very expensive. I see a lot of requests by people trying to rent a room on the Facebook page of Vero Beach Neighborhood, Inc. You might contact their Facebook page for help. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1970017753255042

In Vero The Source might be able to help you 772-564-0202. They work with the homeless and provide great service to people in need and job training. 1015 Commerce Ave, Vero Beach, FL.

The Salvation Army of Vero Beach might also be able to help you. 2655 5th St SW, Vero Beach, Florida 32962 | 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

I would think either of the above might be able to help you or direct you to help.

So you are saying that the churches down there didn't try to help you-just put you in their prayers? I can't imagine the preachers in my family not giving you advice and helping to get you placed somewhere off the streets, fed, and cleaned up.

Have you reached out to

https://upirc.org/services/life-enrichment-programs/.

They might be able to help you and maybe even be able to help you find a job that even with disabilities you might be able to do. I have a disabled niece who just retired from Pizza Hut
after 25 years.

And this place helps the homeless and could even help you get back to family that could help you out.

Another place to check:

Your dog might be a problem when it comes to finding housing, but often people will step forward and help by temporarily caring for your pet till you can get established. Good luck and hope you can find the help you need.
