Of course it happened, but nothing wrong with what happened. He mocked the president, not the children He mocked the presidents own story.
He most certainly did not. He mocked her voice, mocked her education level, and blatantly made fun of her... and that's why he apologized.
Can you imagine if say, Keith Olbermann did the same thing, except imitating one of Palin's children? They would be calling for his head.
Hypocrisy at it's finest.
Quote:
BECK: (laughing) This is such a ridiculous -- this is such a ridiculous thing that his daughter-- (imitating Malia) Daddy?
GRAY: It's so stupid.
BECK: How old is his daughter? Like, thirteen?
GRAY: Well, one of them's, I think, thirteen, one's eleven, or something.
BECK: "Did you plug the hole yet, daddy?" Is that's their -- that's the level of their education, that they're coming to -- they're coming to daddy and saying 'Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?' " Plug the hole!
Nothing more than the left has done to republican office holders. Whats the big deal, it was funny as hell. Just as the stuff the left did about Reagan and his kids. Same difference, get over it.

it wasn't making fun of a child, but was making fun of obuma. That's why it was funny. Thin skinned left loves dishing it out, yet can't take it when it gets done to them.

He did an imitation of the voice, he mocked the level of education Obama portrayed in his story, and he was making fun of how Obama was making her sound.
Of course he apologized, because of all the people that took it the wrong way. he should of known that the people that have their heads up Obama's arse was going to find it offensive . Could he of made his point in a better way? absolutely he could of, but that doesnt mean what the message he was trying to convey was wrong.

"Took it the wrong way"?
When he used a mocking pronunciation of "president" in an attempt to make the girl sound like Buckwheat from the Little Rascals, what way should it be taken?

Keep telling yourself that. It's pretty damned obvious what he was doing.
Again, reverse the roles and if someone did that and imitated one of Palin's children, the RW media would be having a S-Fit.
But I thought public figure's kids were fair game...RIGHT???
I mean...every time Palin opens her mouth to defend her family, you guys call her a whiner..........that she shouldn't have brought them out on the stage....etc etc....
So Sasha & Malia??? I guess they can be mocked too.
