Or, you have the conspiracy theorists and say Israel ignored it on purpose so Hamas can attack and now the IDF will have freedom to destroy Gaza and next step, cleanse the larger West Bank of Palestinians.
How could Israeli intelligence not get updates as we moved closer to Oct 7th, 2023? You kept ignoring new updates for a full year? And this isn't like America spying on China on the other side of the planet. This is like New Jersey spying on Philadelphia to see what shenanigans are going on in there - it's much easier to get updates and keep informed of possible terror plots.
The conspiracy theorists so far seem occupied with pushing the narrative that it didn't really happen or that the Israeli's actually killed their own people.
That is what I was thinking. Israel is a tiny Country surrounded by Islamic terrorists that want them destroyed Daily, I imagine they get a lot of reports of threatening activity. Same with the 9/11 event.
It isn't a stretch to believe Hamas has tons of plans for how to attack Israel around. These plans sound pretty generic. Talking about attacking military bases and stuff too, which didn't happen, nor is there some ominous date attached to it.
This was an extensive detailed 40 page report and they knew Hamas was performing simulations. For the last several months they were occupied with protests over Netanyahu's takeover of the courts. Netanyahu and the military leadership will have to answer to this when this is over.

After an attack, it's always easy as pie for outraged whiners to announce, "Look! There it is! Israel knew all along!" With no mention of the dozen-plus other reports that Israel had but Hamas didn't do.
But where were these whiners on October 6? Or August 1? Not a sound... because they had no more idea what was coming (or when), than the Israelis did.
Israel probably gets a lot of daily intel about planned attacks....and they can only
estimate just how reliable this info is before allocating time/resources to respond to
these POSSIBLE assaults.
Resources are limited, you cannot go whole-hog on each and every piece of intel
that you get that points to a possible attack.
Yep exactly well said. Additionally, when Israel does get intel, they have to be super careful how they deal with it, if they decide to. We've already seen how sensitive the world is to Israel's actions, even after the worst terrorist attack in their history.

I have always thought the Mossad had to have known about this attack, generally. Either way, HAMAS is still 100% to blame and 100% responsible for blood on their hands on both sides. HAMAS owns every death and all of the suffering on both sides.

oh , I am sure Netanyahu will be facing criticism after this, not just from outside but inside Israel. People are gonna wanna know how it got through and accountability for lost ones at the hands of Hamas.
The release of these papers, if we are to believe Israel news, may be part of that investigation. Internally I bet there are many, including Netanyahu , that are trying to get a jump on positioning themselves to avoid blame for letting their guard down in the face of Hamas.

Israeli leadership in the Gaza division responsible for the border knew of this plan but completely ignored it even though Hamas was doing training exercises that matched the blueprint. It's not clear if Netanyahu and other top leaders were aware but top military officials certainly knew of the plans and ignored concerns of their intelligence experts.
It actually is “clear” that Netanyahu didn’t know about this. Labour was in charge. So the left knew and did not act.
