I received a call about an hour ago from a blocked number. The woman said she was calling from some company (it sounded like Emerson, but I really didn't get catch it). She knew my name and then proceeded to go on some spiel about the importance of getting people vaccinated before asking if I received my COVID vaccine I can only imagine that if I continued engaging her that she would have told me about locations where I could get the vaccine.
Now, I am vaccinated, but I politely told her that I'm not interesting and hung up the phone. Has anyone else gotten similar calls?
I haven’t, but now I’m curious and will answer the next blocked number call, just to see what it’s all about.
My partner was very angry when he received a text from the state of Colorado notifying him that he’s eligible for a booster, as if he’s stupid and doesn’t know how to figure out that information on his own.
I don`t answer any questions from someone I don`t know. Could be there are looking for you to say "yes", and use that yes for something else.
And no, I have not recieved such a call.
Since calls from my office are automatically blocked unless one dials a certain code first to unblock the number (which folks almost never do), I'll pick up such calls if still during business hours.
It didn't seem like a survey, but more like some community outreach group. I wonder if they got some of the COVID funds from the last bill to fund such an initiative It was just odd is all

I'd be upset, too, if I was your partner.
That's leading me to think this was some organization that is getting paid with government funds to make such outreach efforts.
I only pick up blocked numbers on my cell if during office hours as that's the default call out from the offices that I work in.
S0me sort of scam or attempt to get you to do something which is more in their best interest than yours.
Of course it is in everyone's best interest to be vaccinated (as witness that without such full participation this virus has just become a part of our everyday lives forever) but it is certainly not a stranger's (or really anyone else's) business.
Hang up on such calls.
