Seriously, does anyone even listen to this guy parrot off his lines anymore?

I remember how much of a 'hero' he used to be in the eyes of many during the initial stages of the pandemic. Now, he's like that annoying guy who keeps spouting things off, but no one listens to him or cares.

Many could care less about "uniting as Americans." This ain't world war, it's just like any other flu.

COVID-19 doesn’t care who you will vote for in November.

That’s the message from Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and expert on infectious diseases for four decades. He delivered some blunt messages to the American public during an online video interview this week. In an election year, he asked the American people NOT to politicize the coronavirus pandemic.

In response to a question from actor Matthew McConaughey about the politicization of the virus, he talked about other times in U.S. history. “Our country has been through very, very difficult situations. We’ve been through a Depression, we’ve been through a World War. We pulled together through 9/11.” But if you are not taking precautions, “You are part of the problem rather than the solution.”

The moment he pushed remdesivir, it was obvious he was part of the problem.

Yes we did live through all those tragic events and emerged better, stronger and more united as a nation but those terrible trying times were never used as a political weapon the way the Left is using Corona.

As for Fauci, he has been right as often as he has been wrong. If the Doctor thing doesn't work out Fauci would make a good weather man.

0.1% of those infected with "any other flu" die

3.4% of those infected with COVID 19 die

A maximum of 60000 Americans die from flu each SEASON

We will reach 200000 dead Americans from COVID 19 by the Fall

1000 Americans have died every day from COVID 19 for the last 3 weeks..

Keep ignoring this pandemic and pretending its "just like any other flu"

Seriously, does anyone really listen to the COVID deniers anymore??

Exactly! We can still pull together -- once the 20% of dead weight at the bottom is respectfully ignored, and the 10% in the lunatic Leftist fringe clearly outvoted,

Fauci's messaging and demeanor has been part of why we can't come together.

He recommended people avoid nearly all social contact, yet never fully acknowledged how devastating that would be for people's mental, spiritual, and economic health. He even had the audacity to use the word 'inconvenient.' Inconvenient??? To let your loved ones die alone, see your livelihood go up in smoke, and wait on food lines??? To be paralyzed with fear from a malignant media? Inconvenient. Like a hangnail.

And then, rather than give supportive, pragmatic advice, he is basically a broken record of telling people how bad they are for gathering. Demonizing a suffering nation just trying to do the best they can, albeit imperfectly.

It is not natural to be isolated. A large portion of this nation has some form of mental illness now. He seems to float above this, doing little more than finger-wagging like a hall monitor. While his credentials may be stellar, and his intentions good, his personality was singularly unfit to be the chief Covid spokesman. I wish Fauci worked on the task force behind the scenes and let someone like Dr. Scott Gottlieb handle the messaging.

Fauci is afraid of Donald Trump, that's why he's hasn't been effective.

Most of those whom you cite died with COVID-19, but not directly from it. And It hasn't yet been determined what other factors might be contributing to the disease' severity.

Unless you include the Spanish influenza of 1918-19, this is the first time that health and medical professionals have united to address such an issue on a global basis. We will conquer this plague, but despite, and not because of a clique of perpetual malcontents screaming from the back benches.

(Italics mine) Yea, no. The communists made the who give bad advice, and the governments lapped it up. Had doctors been allowed to actually treat people, this would have been as not an issue as H1N1 was.
