Moron. pelosi said "NOT 1 DOLLAR" and WE got OVER 1 BILLION dollars.
Bi-Partisan, negotiating and adults compromised on the bill; something your president seems to know nothing about. His "my way or the highway," tactics he used in his corrupt business deals may not always work for the dude. And who are "WE"? Are you part of his administration?
Trump said in his speech in the rose garden, that he did not need to do the wall quickly, apparently he needs to tear our country apart, so he can campaign and take us down the stupid road, again. I hope he is not going to take the need for decent military housing, infrastructure, money from more important issues away from Americans.
Having a president and commander in chief, who is for his own ego is getting ridiculous and ever so tiring.
Is he trying to pad his pockets, somehow, with "our," money?
Check out the owners of the LLC, who get the contracts. Trump, Cabinet and their family will be benefiting from this thing. It's the only reason he does anything.
Not only are progressives and Democrats lamenting the decision, but a collection of right-leaning business groups and think tanks—generally aligned with the Republican Party—have also joined the chorus warning Trump’s declaration could set a dangerous precedent for American politics.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul warned the declaration is likely unconstitutional, Maine Senator Susan Collins said the move would be a “mistake,” and Michigan Representative Justin Amashsaid the president was “attempting to circumvent the constitution” over a “non-emergency.”
"It may be fine with you that your southern neighbors have their property seized by the Federal government"
Oh, please STOP with wild exaggerations.
We are only talking about about several YARDS or property.
People EVERY DAY face eminent domain to build new road, bridges buildings, etc.
It’s more than seven yards, it’s access roads, detention centers and construction. Do you recall the eminent domain for the pipeline a few years ago right there in Texas,
Possibly. And I still don't really get the gist of why Democrats think better border security with Mexico is a bad idea in the first place. (I can speculate but...) But I mean how are they really standing there with a straight face trying to sell this to the country as some big fight they need to win against the President so that...the border can remain less secure? Why would anybody be for that? It's a perfect example of how ridiculous American politics has become.
Because you and they are single-mindedly (and simple mindedly) associating a big bad physical medieval wall with the only way to make our borders "secure".
I guess you have never heard that 90% of drugs come in via "ports of entry"? Those are places where we LET people in, on purpose! Maybe we can beef up detection methods and add staffing? How will a bigger or better wall help THERE? ...and that's just one way to add security without it being a WALL. Simple thinking gives simple answers...not good ones.
