Why would anyone refer to illegals as just plain ole Hispanics instead of by illegal aliens? Not all illegals are Hispanic and not all Hispanics are illegals. Some people just like to play the race card and victim card for their ethnic group, don't they?

Since when is enforcing our immigration laws on the books akin to Gestapo tactics? No one is going around rounding up anyone. The blatant dishonesty by some in here makes me ill.

Trump has e-verify in his new budget bill. However, criminals and terrorists aren't looking for jobs and jobs aren't the only thing that brings illegals here. We have to remove all of the incentives for them to come here including benefits and birthright citizenship for their kids also.

The good walls on the border have already been proven effective and a good physical barrier helps the Border Patrol do their jobs more effectively. As I have often said, those who don't want the wall have a vested interest in illegal immigration. You can tell by their comments calling attention to the race and ethnic makeup of most illegals and making victims out of them.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Trump's wall plays out for Republicans.

A sea-to-sea barrier of the sort promised by President Donald Trump would require control of land in a narrow strip along 2,000 miles. Not all landowners would be willing to sell. That means the project could require widespread use of "eminent domain" — the power to force owners to sell land for a public purpose.

"You're taking land that in some cases belonged to people for generations.

Not at all. And I have stated I am not for illegal immigration. The question comes down to how to deal with it. And when ones makes the argument about an expensive wall paying for itself base on a bs study then we'll I will call bs. I want grown up answers not knee jerk childish answers.

Besides, what senese does it make spending the money on the wall and defunding the coast guard. That is playing whack a mole

It's not just the cost of building a wall, even if it were feasible. No one ever talks about the cost of maintaining a structure of that size if it ever did get built. We would be saddling our children and grandchildren with a money sucking black hole for generations to come. There's nothing fiscally responsible about that.

The whole idea is stupid and impractical on so many levels.

Not much you can do about the babies.

It is in the LAW.
1986, Ronald Reagan signed the Naturalization Act, that has yet to be repealed.
Employer Sanctions are part of that 1986 ACT.
Congress can't do crap. It is up to "The Donald" and the DOJ to enforce it.
We'll see?????? I doubt it will ever happen, but it is the only solution and not a Band-Aid.

If the wall ever does actually get built, within ten years and a new administration, the Mexicans will be tearing it down and using the materials to build their houses and nobody will care.
