I'm curious if conservative seniors support the ideal of getting vouchers and then shopping for health insurance on the private market.

Here is an idea ..... get a couple of quotes for yourself. Say you are 67, high blood pressure and cholesterol ... you know, the usual stuff. See what they come back with by way of a price.

Sigh, seniors wouldn't be subject to Ryan's program it applies to people under 55.

Its a dumb plan but cleverly presented. Anyone over 55 will not be kicking up a fuss because it doesn't impact them. Most people under 40 are not thinking that far ahead and some might support it because they think that they, personally, will be okay. Its the 40 - 55 year olds who will get royally screwed first. Then, when they start dying younger because they cannot get insurance or afford treatment, the political outcry will force the reinstatement of Medicare.

It is clear form this thread that the loony laft has no clue what Ryan's plan is about. It certainly will not prevent them form making up all sorts of nutty things. Thank goodness the general population is ready to have a grown up discussion of entitlement reform. Obama and the rest of the lunatic fringe will be marginalized unless they are willing to engage in serious dialogue.
