The guy spent the last 60 years in the 616 canon defending America/Earth alonside other superheroes (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, etc.) against supervillans, alien invasions and a giant Superhero civil war that tears America apart.
Yet Hollyweird wants to make him something else?
You just don't change or mess with something that has been on a good roll for decades!

I'm pissed at Marvel for letting this happen in the first place.
You guys don't even know what you're complaining about. All they said was he isn't being portrayed as a "flag waver". IMO that's a GOOD thing. He is much more than that, or should be. I've seen "flag wavers" and they don't seem very heroic to me, it's too superficial for that.

They aren't changing Captain America, he is the same guy thats been in the comics for the last 70 years.
People are just freaking out because he is dressed in red, white, and blue, and they haven't read the comics for the last 50 years.
Seriously, its kind of sad how American values & pride seem to be slowly evaporating. But, this is Hollywood. What do you expect? At least we are still free to choose whether or not to pay and see it...I think.
I'm more disappointed in what they've done to Wonder Woman. No more patriotic star spangled hot pants.
