as a native Chicagoan, tears well up in my eyes as I see these amazing photos. I remember being a teen taking the CTA to school and wanting to capture the city. I remember wanting to photograph the graffiti on the trains, the homeless in Lincoln park feeding the pigeons, the people at the bus stop in the dead of winter, the warehouses (before they became condos) the various ethnic neighborhoods, the fans poring out of Wrigley Field, the person in the subway playing their guitar for money, the massive crowds at the Taste of Chicago etc..... I think I am going to make it a point to get some gritty pictures like that when I go visit this summer. I really wished I would of followed my dream of going to Columbia College and pursuing my dream. As a girl born and raised in Chicago, I am more than inspired by this 50+page thread! Thank you all...... May you continue to capture art at it's best.
